About Joanne Woodford

Currently working on a Research Training Fellowship to obtain my PhD, funded by the Dunhill Medical Trust, specifically developing and testing a low intensity CBT intervention for carers of stroke survivors experiencing depression and / or anxiety.   I have been working within the Mood Disorders Centre since 2008, undertaking a variety of research positions with Dr Paul Farrand and Dr Heather O‘Mahen.

I have a particular passion for improving access to effective psychological therapies for people with common mental health conditions and the development of interventions specifically for older adults, people with co-morbid chronic physical health conditions and their carers.
